Environmental Stewardship Program

Florence County CourthouseMaple Syruping Techniques

Please joining us on February 15, 2007 at the Florence Natural Resource and Wild Rivers Interpretive Center for an informational program on maple syrup techniques.  We will be having producers of varying sizes leading the discussion.  The gentlemen are maple syrup producers of varying production, so we will have all levels of production present from small to very large.  All three have many years of experience in the syruping process.  Joe Witynski will also be there to display material, supplies and equipment as Witynski Hardware carries these items.  This program should be of interest to those considering syruping, those who want to compare experience and techniques and to those who are curious about the process of obtaining this tasty and necessary pancake product.

If you would like to learn more about maple syruping, please join us!  This program will be held from 6:30pm to 8:00pm in the lower level classroom at the Florence Natural Resource and Wild Rivers Interpretive Center located on the corner of US Hwy 2 and Hwy 101/70 in Florence.  The Environmental Stewardship Program Series are put on by the Friends of the Wild Rivers Interpretive Center and are open to the public and free of charge.  For more information on this or any programs, contact Nathan Ruble in the Florence Natural Resource Center at 888-889-0049 ext 101.
