 |
Northeast Wisconsin Technical College is a two-year
technical college, serving northeast Wisconsin by providing
education, training, and life-long learning opportunities for
individuals and businesses leading to the development of a
skilled workforce.

Nature Naturally |
|

The Friends of the Florence Wild Rivers Interpretive Center,
Inc., is providing a supplementary environmental education
program for the youth in Northeast Wisconsin and Michigan's
Upper Peninsula. This program, Nature Naturally, is available to
school and youth groups as an extended classroom. The specific
environmental/natural resource activities will utilize the
unique attributes of the Florence Natural Resource Center and
its Staff.

Environmental Stewardship |
|

The Environmental Stewardship Programs began in 1992 to promote
natural resources education and to involve the public in the
activities at the Florence Natural Resource Center. They are
sponsored by the Friends of the Wild Rivers Interpretive Center
in cooperation with the following agencies:

The Family Center |
|
Parenting
is an important responsibility, and all families can benefit
from parenting information and support. One key to positive
parenting is to seek more information.
The Family Center provides many opportunities for you to
celebrate your role as a parent, and learn more ways to parent
positively!
|
|
Parents who participate in Family Center activities will have
the opportunity to: |
- learn effective discipline techniques
- learn what to expect as their children grow
- learn what to expect as their children grow
- improve family relationships
- learn how to talk with and listen to their children
- develop stress management skills
- share ideas with other parents
|
Family Center programs are provided free-of-charge and on-site
childcare is available for classes and workshops when noted.
The Family Center is funded by the Children’s Trust Fund, and
supported by Florence County, the Florence County Health
Department, and by your gifts of time, materials, and financial
donations. |
