County Register of Deeds
Florence County Register of Deeds office started recording deeds
and documents in 1882. It is the duty of this office to
file, record and issue instruments and documents of significance
to both the community as a whole and to its individual citizens.
This includes real estate and personal property records (deeds,
land contract, mortgages, etc.) and vital records (birth,
marriage, death and military discharges).Also it is the duty
of the Register of Deeds to provide safe archival storage and
convenient access to the records available for public view.
Along with this is the implementation of any statutory changes,
system modernization, program and procedure evaluation and staff
development to assure a high level of timely service for our
citizens and customers. |

Recording Fees: $11.00 for
first page, $2.00 for each additional page or side. |

Copying Fees: $2.00 for first
page and $1.00 for each additional page.
